David Cheong

For over 25 years, David has helped people grow, as a trainer of more than 6,000 people. He founded 22 Destiny, a faith-based people developer, to equip people with vision, wisdom and practical skills, using AI as a tool to help them go further.

David's Story

David's working life has taken many turns: software engineer, nonprofit project manager, property agent, trainer and entrepreneur. One thread runs through it all. He loves helping people grow into who they were made to be.

He graduated in Engineering from NUS in 2000 and joined NCS as a software engineer. Solving problems at the back end and training users up front, including Singtel's customer service officers, he discovered his gift as a trainer. From 2004 to 2007, he served as a project manager at Cru Singapore, a nonprofit, overseeing leadership, people development, operations and theological training. In 2007, he became a property agent.

Since then, he has trained over 6,000 people: more than 5,000 property agents and over 1,000 corporate professionals, including SkillsFuture programmes with NTUC LearningHub. He is ACTA-certified and makes complicated things simple, guiding people step by step.

Beyond the classroom, David serves communities in Asia, bringing clean water to India and solar lighting to Nepal. He is also a proud father of two sons.

Why 22 Destiny

22 Destiny was born out of David's own story. From 2022 to 2024 he walked through a deep valley of depression, and that journey became his book, Finding Light Again.
